Local drug distribution center cited in $150M civil penalty case

The McKesson pharmaceutical distribution center in Lakeland will not be allowed to ship hydromorphone (often known by the brand name Dilaudid) for the next year as part of a nationwide settlement agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office over allegations the company failed to report suspicious orders of pharmaceutical drugs at a dozen of its distribution centers.
