New drug promises to end migraine pain in two hours

There are patients who do not respond to the available migraine medications. The drugs also have other limiters: the possibility of strong side effects and the prohibition of prescription for individuals with cardiovascular disease, since they constrict the blood vessels. Researchers at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and the Montefiore Health System, both in the United States, are developing an alternative treatment.
