Adare Pharma Solutions ("Adare"), a technology-driven contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), announced the acquisition of Frontida BioPharm ("Frontida"), a vertically integrated CDMO focused on oral formulations. The acquisition reinforces Adare's commitment to transform drug delivery by providing world class solutions from product development through commercial scale manufacturing and packaging. Adare's portfolio of offerings for its customers will expand to include new capabilities such as high potency compound handling and packaging services. The combination of the two organizations will further establish Adare as a leader in the development and manufacturing of life saving medications in complex dosage forms.

Together, the combined company will offer an expanded suite of solutions for complex oral formulations, such as taste masking, controlled release, high potency formulation manufacturing, and bioavailability enhancement. The addition of Frontida brings Adare's manufacturing footprint to seven sites globally and expands Adare's integrated, end-to-end offering to its partners. The combined organization will be led by Vivek Sharma.
Adare is backed by private equity firms Thomas H. Lee Partners and Frazier Healthcare Partners. RBC Capital Markets, LLC acted as exclusive financial advisor to Adare for this transaction.

It’s easy to miss the forest for the trees in markets like this. Especially when it comes to pharmaceutical stocks. What I mean is that, in some sectors, there are great stocks that get overlooked because a few of them are working on event-driven issues, while others are creating long-term solutions to major trends.
This is especially true in the pharmaceutical and biotech spaces right now. Maybe it’s because the Kentucky Derby was postponed, but people are betting on pharmas discovering a vaccine to Covid-19 like it’s the only horse race out there. The fact is, there’s a whole racing season and betting on one horse in one race isn’t successful investing. And neither is betting on pharmaceutical stocks for one medicine.
That’s where my grading system comes in.
Overall, there are plenty of massively successful drugs. However, they’re blockbusters because they can be used for a variety ailments. Or, the top companies have a strong pipeline of drugs that address issues that are important to a large number of people.

Piramal Enterprises Ltd's Pharma Solutions business, a contract development and manufacturing organization, on Saturday announced that it has entered into an agreement with G&W Laboratories Inc. to acquire its solid oral dosage drug product manufacturing facility located in Pennsylvania, USA, for $17.5 million. The all-cash deal is subject to customary pre-closing conditions. According to the terms of the agreement, Piramal Enterprises, through one of its affiliates, would acquire at closing a 100% stake in the entity that operates the facility and owns the related real estate.
